What is Lendress ?
Lendress is an online platform that creates a c2c and b2c marketplace for people looking to sell or rent their clothes. It offers great convenience for those seeking a garment for a special occasion, and those looking to make some money with clothes or accessories they rarely wear.
Can I try a garment before renting/buying it ?
Yes, once you receive a garment you can try it on. If you are not happy with the fit or the condition of it, you can decline the rental/purchase, and schedule a return on the same day. If you are satisfied, you can start your rental or confirm purchase with one click!
Is there any time limit for rentals ?
No, if the dress is available on the platform, you can rent it for as long as you want.
Can an article be listed for rent & sale?
Yes, our platform works on a first come, first served basis. However, we discourage the listing of articles for both rent & sale as it can impact user rating.
Can I rent/buy on someone else’s behalf /outside of lendress platforms?
No, doing so is risky, as a third party can damage the garment, leaving you liable for any financial compensation required. Lendress is not liable to reimburse for transactions happening outside of our platform.
Can I modify an order ?
Yes, you will have to request a modification/cancellation online (website or app) and wait for the Lender’s/ Lendress’ approval for any reimbursement for transactions made within our platform.
How are the prices calculated ?
Lendress suggests to its Lenders to list their items for 10% to 45% of the retail price, but we allow them to practice the price they deem necessary. Prices also include a delivery and cleaning fee where applicable.
How do you make sure users are safe/ How can I trust Lendress ?
All our users be it Lenders or Lendees go under a rigorous verification process. To protect Lenders, some items may require lendee or buyer to pay a security deposit. To protect Lendees, we allow them to start the rental or refuse a purchase once they have had the chance to try on and review an item. Lendress handles all financial transactions to make sure both sides are fully protected from any scams. In addition, we have a rating system so both ends can give us feedback on their experience.
This system limits risks for theft or scams and reinforces trust among our user base.
Who handles garment cleaning?
Lenders are expected to provide garments in a clean state, as their ratings depend on them. If a Lendee is renting for a long period of time, they should have a professional clean the garment. Nonetheless, they assume the risks of damage by doing so as per our T&Cs.
How much time does it take to refund my money?
We process refunds in an average of 2 to 7 business days.
When are your operating hours?
We work from 8:30 AM to 8 PM every day of the week.
What are referrals?
Referrals are invitations which you send to friends, colleagues or acquaintances, which will give you discounts on rentals/purchases or premiums when you rent/sell your items.
Who handles logistics/deliveries?
Lendress has a network of partners who handle deliveries. They can deliver to whichever address you choose, so please make sure to always input the correct address.
Can I travel with a rented item?
Ideally no, as it increases the likeliness to lose or damage the item, which can cost you the security deposit.
How to return an item?
A lendress admin can contact you a day prior to the return date, to schedule a pickup if it was not done online. Alternatively, you can pre-schedule it online before renting/buying, and our delivery partner will contact you if needed on the expected day.
What if an item is late or not delivered?
Lendress works hard to make sure this situation doesn’t happen. If it does, we can issue a full refund, as well as a discount on your next order.
